Cell Phone Circus

Cell phone mania: it’s a sign of the tech addiction of our society. Is it really necessary to have a phone that does everything except the laundry? Be that as it may, it’s a fact of life in these United States (and I have it on good authority Japan is even worse) that photos from the women’s locker room are here to stay. My news flash is that - contrary to what the kiosk vendors would have you believe - if you call your existing service provider, you will be able to upgrade to the latest and greatest cell phone for a pittance. And you will be able to upgrade your service for probably less than what you are currently paying. Now, mind you, I have not changed my service or my equipment for something like 4 years. Which is akin to having 2 metal cans attached by string, I know, but nonetheless… I have this crazy notion that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Though when is technology NOT broken - but that’s a subject for another day.
